1. Working Hours & Off Days
- Regular working hours and shifts will be communicated during the hiring process.
- Employees are entitled to weekly off days as per their designated schedule, usually Saturday and Sunday, unless otherwise stated in their individual contracts.
2. Leave Policies
a. Approved and Unapproved Leave
- Employees are encouraged to submit leave requests in advance for approval by their supervisors. Approved leaves will be marked as sanctioned. Whether they are paid or not.
- Unapproved leave: Any leave taken without prior approval, including sick leaves without a valid medical certificate, will be considered unpaid.
- Unsanctioned leave adjacent to off days: If any unpaid leave is taken directly before or after a weekly off day, the off day(s) will also be treated as unsanctioned.
- Unsanctioned leaves are unpaid leaves.
b. Medical Leave
- Employees must provide a medical certificate to validate their sick leave. Medical leaves taken without a certificate will be treated as unsanctioned and unpaid leave.
3. Notice Period
a. Probation Period
- Employees under probation are required to give 1-day notice if they wish to terminate their employment.
- The company also reserves the right to terminate employment with 1-day notice during the probation period.
b. Post-Probation Period (Confirmed Employees)
- Once confirmed in their role, both the employee and the employer are required to give 1-month notice prior to terminating the employment.
4. Zero Tolerance Policy
AX AutoExpress Car Wash adheres to a strict zero tolerance policy. Violations of the following rules may result in immediate termination, at the discretion of the management:
- Late Shift Start: Being late to start your shift 3 times in a month.
- Leave Without Notice: Taking leave without providing advance notice, except in the case of valid medical emergencies supported by a doctor’s certificate.
- Engaging in Illegal Activities: Any involvement in illegal activities during or outside of work will lead to immediate dismissal.
- Willful Damage to Company Property: Intentional damage to company property or equipment will not be tolerated.
- Abusive Behavior: Any form of verbal or physical abuse towards colleagues, supervisors, or customers.
- Entertaining Friends: Behaviour of entertaining friends, like party and similar, consumption of alcohol and other toxic drinks, without approval will not be tolerated.
5. Renumeration for Services
Agreed upon renumeration is in two forms:
– Daily Wages
– Monthly Wages
Daily wages will be paid at the end of the shift or at the start of the shift the next day. Employees are required to keep 7 days daily wages as security deposit .
Monthly wages will be paid on 7th of the Month or the second Wednesday of the month as per the discretion of the management. There will be no security deposit required.
6. Hostel
In certain cases, the management may arrange hostel on behalf of the employee. Payment for such arrangement will be deducted from the pay. If the employee wishes to leave the hostel before the full month end, there will be no pro-rata refund of the hostel rent. Hostel rent will be collected in full for a month on pay day.
Employees may not substitute someone for their hostel space. The arrangement is attached to the employee and terminates upon his request on a monthly cycle basis.
7. Clothing
Company branded clothing will be made available to all staff. They will be able to take a T-shirt from the washed T-Shirt pool. Team Leader and Manager level people will be given 1x T-shirt on joining and then additional T-Shirt every quarter. T-Chirts can be bought for RM30 fixed price. Bought T-Shirts can be sold back anytime for RM20, if in good condition, and RM5, if damaged. We may provide shoes. They will be deducted from salary is the employment period is less than 3 months.
8. Employment Agreement
By accepting employment at AX AutoExpress Car Wash, employees agree to comply with the company’s terms of employment and all other company policies.
